Can I take a leave semester at the SKHM?

No. The Studienkolleg regulations of the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt do not provide for a leave semester.

If family, personal or other reasons leave you no other choice, you can withdraw from the current semester at any time. Please note:

• All grades are lost: results from the semester you withdraw from are not credited.
• No re-entry at the same point: you cannot later continue where you left off – for example after a few weeks of the 1st semester.
• A fresh start with a new application: if you want to come back, you apply again and go through the admission procedure again. After withdrawing in the 1st semester, you start the Studienkolleg from the beginning.
• Withdrawal in the 2nd semester: if you have already completed the 1st semester, you may later be able to start again directly with the 2nd semester. If necessary, the SKHM reserves the right to check your knowledge of the 1st-semester content.
