Pre-course German A1–B1
The pre-course German A1–B1 is an intensive course lasting one semester for applicants abroad without any knowledge of German. With the binding admission to the Studienkolleg including the pre-course (German A1–B1), a student visa can be applied for in accordance with Section 16b (1) sentence 3 of the Residence Act.
The pre-course is not a general German course: participants get an insight into the study materials of their state FSP preparation course and use content and language integrated learning to acquire the basic German terminology in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, history and social studies. This gives them a big head start for passing the state FSP within the regular two semesters.
Course places are primarily reserved for groups registering via our cooperation offices abroad. Individual applicants should ask about the modalities and availability via the contact form.
